What does the OKCAS system mean, and what does it consist of?
The OKCAS system is an acronym for “Okatent Cushion Air System.” This technological development is based on air pressurization using a compressor, which forms an air chamber within the coverings. This air chamber enhances insulating properties, increases durability, and creates a striking visual impact on the fabric roofs.

What are the coverings of a modular pavilion like?
Every modular pavilion manufactured by Okatent is covered with a polyester textile membrane, either opaque or translucent, coated with PVC and equipped with high-frequency welded Keder. These coverings have many properties:

What are the differences between a standard covering and an OKCAS covering?
Standard covering
- Material: It is made with a polyester textile membrane coated with PVC, which provides durability and water resistance.
- Operation: The covering is attached to the pillars with Keder, a cord used to secure and tension the covering in place. High-frequency welding is used to fix the Keder to the membrane and ensure its watertightness.
- Common Use: These coverings are used in a variety of applications, such as small-format pavilions, temporary warehouses, sports covers for individual courts, and more. They are known for their versatility and relatively low cost.
OKCAS coverings
- Material: It consists of two layers of polyester textile membrane coated with PVC that create an air chamber with a constant pressure of between 0.8 and 1.2 mbar and a variable insulation factor.
- Operation: A low-consumption turbine of 105W inflates and maintains the pressure through a pressure switch between 0.8 and 1.2 mBar. Since it is a closed circuit, the motor is only activated occasionally throughout the day.
- Common Use: They are used in structural applications and larger pavilions, such as padel stadiums, megafactories, large hangars, and other industrial applications.

What types of coverings are available with this pressurized system?
- B – OKCAS covering with single insulation: U-Value = 2.1 W/m²·K
- A – OKCAS covering with advanced insulation: U-Value = 0.8 W/m²·K
- A+ – OKCAS covering with insulation + extreme ventilation: U-Value = 0.5 W/m²·K
Benefits of OKCAS coverings:
- Thermal insulation: Compact structure with good thermal performance suitable for climates with moderate temperatures and humidity.
- Condensation: Helps prevent condensation by preventing the interior temperature of the roof from coming into direct contact with the outside air.
- Waterproofing: With a sealed air chamber, the double-layer covering provides greater protection against the entry of water and moisture from the outside.
- Acoustic insulation: The air chamber provides an additional barrier against sound transmission.
- Movement: Being constantly inflated, it does not flap in the wind compared to single-layer tarps.
- Durability: The presence of two layers of PVC textile membrane tensioned by the air chamber pressure provides greater resistance to wear and abrasion compared to a single layer.

- Flexibility and deformation capacity: The textile membranes are flexible and can deform under strong winds, allowing the structure to adapt and better dissipate wind loads. The air trapped in the chamber helps absorb and distribute these forces.
- Corrosion-resistant: The textile membranes do not rust and are manufactured and installed as a single piece, without fixings that penetrate them as is the case with metal sheets. They also do not require special coatings or anti-corrosion paints.
- Ease of assembly and disassembly: The textile membrane covering can be installed and dismantled more quickly and easily compared to other enclosures.
- Aesthetics and design: The visual result is completely uniform, as all the cushions are identical along their length and are made as a single piece without fastenings or joints.
