Do you need an industrial pavilion that allows you to install overhead cranes quickly and safely?

In this article, we show you a real success story that combines advanced structural design and construction efficiency. Discover how modular pavilions with overhead cranes can help you optimize space, reduce costs, and accelerate your logistics and industrial processes.

Today we present our project carried out in Aveiro (Portugal). These two modular pavilions have represented a structural challenge as they were designed at two heights to house two overhead cranes, thus facilitating the storage of wind turbine blades.

That is why today we want to delve deeper into this project, as it is an example of the customization capacity we work with at Okatent, adapting to the client’s needs from the structure to the final finishes.

What are modular pavilions for housing overhead cranes?

Before going into detail about the Aveiro project, we want to explain what characterizes a modular pavilion designed to place overhead cranes inside.

Modular pavilions are made up of a metal structure, usually steel or aluminum with special alloys, and a tensioned membrane or metal sheet covering the roof of the building. The main advantage of these pavilions is their quick assembly and the possibility of being transported and reused in different locations.

As manufacturers, we can create designs adapted to all kinds of solutions. Thanks to this, we developed a double-height type of building where overhead cranes can be installed efficiently and with an impressive appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What features should a modular pavilion have to install overhead cranes?

A modular hall for overhead cranes must have a reinforced structure, usually made of galvanized steel, with an adequate height to house the overhead crane and allow its safe mobility. In addition, it should have strong enclosures and wide doors to facilitate the entry and exit of machinery.

How long does it take to assemble a modular pavilion with an overhead crane?

Assembly is usually very fast due to the modular system. In projects such as Aveiro, the estimated installation time was approximately four weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the design.

What advantages does a modular pavilion have over a traditional building for overhead cranes?

Modular pavilions offer speed in assembly, flexibility in design, portability and reusability, as well as an excellent cost-benefit ratio for industrial projects that require adaptability and efficiency.

Can the dimensions and finishes of modular pavilions be customized?

Yes, one of the great advantages is total customization. The height, width, type of enclosure, doors and other finishes can be adjusted so that the pavilion can be perfectly adapted to the specific needs of the client.
