We cover 12 sports courts for La Vida Padel
Today we want to tell you about one of the last pavilions manufactured by Okatent. This is the roof located in Alcobendas (Madrid) in the facilities of La Vida Padel, a project where competition and community are part of the same ecosystem.
This pavilion is very special, because of its size, the design of the structure, the connection of three decks in one, the insulation system and many other things. For this reason, we wanted to dedicate an article to it where we are going to unravel the keys of this structure.

A big indoor padel project in every sense of the word
La Vida Padel has offered us the opportunity to be part of one of the largest indoor padel projects in Spain. And not only because we have covered a space of more than 2800m² in which you can find:
- 12 indoor paddle tennis courts, beach volleyball and beach tennis area.
- Networking spaces
- Weekly events under the LVP House brand
If not also, because this is a project that aims to promote paddle tennis in Spain through the management and promotion of clubs.
The installation of this nearly 3,000 m2 structure was completed in less than 6 weeks.
It has a membrane that facilitates the visibility of the ball inside the pavilion.
In the design and fabrication of a sports pavilion, there are many aspects that must be taken into account. The color of the pavilion is one of them, as it can affect the development of the game.
In order to achieve optimum visibility, blue was chosen for the interior of the membranes. This color allows a perfect contrast with the color of the ball, which improves playing conditions.
This cover is designed to play without fogging up the glass.
One of the main problems of the courts is the appearance of mist on the glass of the paddle courts, especially in the mornings. That’s why Okatent’s modular pavilion is designed with a thermal
designed with a thermal insulation system called OKCAS (Okatent Cushion air system) that prevents fogging caused by condensation.
This technological development by Okatent forms an air chamber in the roofs that improves the insulating properties and increases resistance by pressurizing two textile membranes

The pavilion was designed with accordion curtains on the sides to ventilate the paddle courts.
The structure of La Vida Padel has a lateral enclosure system of folding curtains. This enclosure, highly demanded in sports roofs, allows the pavilion to be ventilated quickly, especially in hot weather.
The mechanism of the curtains works through guides that allow the opening and closing movement of the curtains.
The roof has skirts to prevent sun glare inside the paddle tennis court.
The cover of the tent has been designed to protect players from sunlight glare. In the case of having the side curtains open, natural light will enter, but the upper skirt, made of an opaque membrane, will block the light beam at the eye level of the athletes on the paddle court.
The curved gantry of the structure offers better efficiency and aesthetics.
The design of the portico influences the results you want to achieve. In the case of paddle roofs, the curved design of the structure allows to gain more vertical space avoiding possible interferences with the structure and the development of the game.
In addition, curved roofs facilitate the natural drainage of rainwater or snow, avoiding the accumulation of water pockets.
Finally, curved designs offer a more attractive and modern appearance than other more conventional designs such as gable roofs or polygonal roofs
We labeled the La Vida Padel logo on the membrane of the pavilion.
Finally, we also printed the La Vida Padel logo on the façade of the pavilion. This printing was done at Okatent’s facilities since we have a digital printing service that prints directly, with eco-solvent inks, on the PVC membrane
The signage of La Vida Padel, provides a greater impact on the branding of the company, boosting the personalization of the space and the engagement with its community.
