1. What should you do before covering a padel court?

As with any project, planning is key. Before installing the padel court coverspistas, you should consider several aspects:

  • Location of the court: Study the terrain and its accessibility.

  • Number of courts to cover: Define whether you will cover one or more indoor padel courts.
  • Additional facilities: If you plan to install stands, changing rooms or a café in the future, take this into account when designing the structure.

If you have not yet built the padel courts, we recommend that you wait to install the roof in order to speed up the installation process.

2. The cover must comply with the regulatory measurements for padel.

The padel court surfaces must comply with regulatory standards to ensure safety and proper play.

That is why our pavilions comply with:

  • Minimum height of 6 metres.
  • Maximum height of the structure according to local building regulations.
  • Distance of 2 metres between tracks.
  • Maintain the same height on courts.

3. Choose a winning design for your padel cover

Are you already clear about the measurements? Now you can move on to the design of the structure. In our portfolio, we offer curved designs to differentiate ourselves from conventional structures. And we have a model tailored to your needs…

  • Single model: Individual marquees to cover a dance floor.
  • Multy model: Double covers to cover two or more courts.
  • Arena Model: Large pavilions to cover more than 6 courts.

Did you know that... a standard roof can be installed in less than a week?

4. Think about the type of roof your pavilion will have.

Let’s start the pavilion from the roof! As you will see, all our covers are PVC-coated polyester membranes, fireproof and waterproof, but each one offers a different result.

  • Single cover: It is translucent and allows natural light to be utilised.
  • Opaque roof: This roof does not let sunlight through and insulates against heat.
  • Pressurised cover: Get greater strength, insulation and a stunning appearance.

5. Decide what type of side panels you need to cover the padel court.

After choosing the roof for your structure, you can decide how you are going to cover the sides of your padel court:

  • Simple drop-down bottom curtain: Traditional closure with eyelet and cord available in various colours with translucent or opaque membrane.
  • Micro-perforated top curtain: If you need to keep the room ventilated while maintaining privacy inside, this is the curtain for you.
  • Simple upper skirt: Translucent or opaque, to prevent sunlight from reflecting onto the court while you play.

  • Lower sliding folding curtain: Easy to operate, it has two guides (top and bottom) so you can open or close it effortlessly.
  • Puffy top closure:Provides greater comfort and prevents wind movement from distracting athletes.
  • Polycarbonate side panel: Fixed polycarbonate side panels. Insulates against heat and cold, lets in natural light and does not move in the wind.

6. It is important to be clear about building permits: In each country there is legislation, and we must consult with local authorities to understand the regulations regarding coverings. That is why, at Okatent we facilitate the feasibility of your project by providing all the documentation you need, from detailed structural plans and the technical description of the materials to the structural calculation according to the location where the covering will be installed.

7. Before installing your padel cover, you should know that…

Proper foundations are necessary to withstand the impact of wind and snow, as well as to prevent rain from entering our covered padel court.
